The body of this Corvus is made up of many swirls of beads, all the same type of black bead. The swirls have subtle variations in the black tones, and are matched by the pink and yellow swirling background of this piece.  I used real crow's feet in this and many other full portraits of crows, but have stopped using them as a result of the risks of catching West Nile Virus from crows.
